How We Know Modern Warfare 3's Multiplayer Will Either Be Great Or Broken

May 31, 2011 admin 2 Comments

Last year a huge problem emerged, there was a battle between Infinity Ward and Activision over the Call Of Duty Franchise. A few months later, Modern Warfare 3 is announced, Infinity Ward obviously cannot make the whole game by themselves anymore so they call in help from sledgehammer games and Raven Software for the multi-player.

Sledgehammer games and Raven software could do some serious work with the multi-player, since they are new to developing for the COD franchise they can change whatever they want, they know that they must keep the foundations of COD multi-player which is the Perks, Killstreaks .etc however hopefully they will come in and seriously change some things so that they multi-player isn’t repetitive.

However there is always a bad side for everything and the worst case scenario is that they know nothing and give us a broken multiplayer game.

What do you think will happen? tell us in the comments. Also dont forget to Tweet this, Digg This, Email this .etc thanks for reading :)

I am a fairly naive person. This is what I think.

Activision, Infinity Ward and the rest of the crew behind MW3 have much to prove. They must strike back against a lot of people who believe that IW was considerably weakened after many of the key personnel left the company for Respawn Entertainment. They simply must deliver a great game. They must release a game that is both impressive and stripped of errors. Activision knows this. And this is what they will do.

Still just as naive … Activision learned a valuable lesson after they released Black Ops with a multiplayer filled with errors. They do not make such a mistake again.

Equally naive … Activision is being whipped on the back by an aggressive EA. Activison knows EA and Dice will deliver a brilliant Battlefield 3. Activision hates losing. That’s why they do not dare to send out a bad game. They will not risk being laughed at by the gaming community, which praises EA and BF3 at the same time. Activision wants to be the king of the hill. They have no plans to leave that hill for EA and a bunch of Swedes.

And… as you write in the article: New heads may think better and more creative than older heads.

All above can be summarized as follows: MW3 will be a great game. Better than both MW2 and BLOPS, even. I am of course prepared to eat every word I’ve written, naive as I am. ;)
