When i first saw that PSN was down i did not take it that seriously however as the day went on i realised how big it was, at first it was just that it was down, then it escalated to the fact that someone had hacked the network and now it has come to our attention that PSN users bank details are now at risk, all of this happened in just a week, however what is the other side (Microsoft) earning from this?
Ever since PSN was down it was been the main thing, we have had the U.S. Senator demanding for answers from Sony about the PSN outage and money being stolen from peoples PSN accounts which isn’t the publicity Sony would want.
This outage has had a big hit on Sony, with peoples bank accounts at risk what would stop someone from simply cancelling there debit/credit cards and leaving PSN for good?
Secondly Gamestop has been offering a deal where you can trade in you PS3 and get an Xbox which some people might take up and switch to Xbox Once again.
It seems like Microsoft might be getting small things from the PSN outage such as few more members and sales however its nothing that big, however i would not be suprised if Microsoft did something big to improve their position over Sony
